David Clark is a freelance political writer and analyst. He previously worked for the late Robin Cook MP, joining his staff in 1994 and serving as his special adviser on Europe at the Foreign Office from 1997-2001. From 1991-94 he worked as a research assistant to Dr John Reid MP. He is chair of the Russia Foundation.
