Research Associate

Tom Blass is a freelance journalist specialising in law, human rights, and business-related issues. Particular areas of interest include politics, prospects and human rights in the Kurdish regions of Iran and Iraq, corporate transparency in the developing world, and the impact of European Union enlargement. He is currently the United Kingdom correspondent of the Washington DC-based Bureau of National Affairs (BNA) and is writing a report for the Foreign Policy Centre on multinational mining and extractive industries in Africa and their role in development.
