This FPC event will enable a broad discussion of some of the key media issues in Turkey today. The debate will explore the arrest and imprisonment of journalists, political pressure on media outlets and the companies that own them, media regulation, and the continuing challenges for Kurdish media. It will also look at current attempts at reform which impact on media freedom, such as the proposed fourth judicial package and attempts at constitutional change.
