Baroness Stern was created a Life Peer in 1999. She is currently Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Anti-Corruption and Secretary of the All-Party Parliamentary Human Rights Group. She is currently President of the Association of Members of Independent Monitoring Boards, a Board Member of the International Legal Foundation, a member of the Open Society Foundations Human Rights Initiative Advisory Board, and a Trustee of the Institute for Criminal Policy Research, Redress Trust and Civil Liberties Trust.
