Marina Prentoulis is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and Media at the University of East Anglia. She completed her PhD in Ideologies and Discourse Analysis at the Department of Government, University of Essex. She has been working on contemporary social movements and European radical ideologies. She has been involved in numerous campaigns and movements and is a member of the Labour Party. She has been the UK spokesperson of Syriza and of 'Another Europe is Possible'. She has given numerous interviews on British and International media (BBC: including appearances on Newsnight, Andrew Marr’s Show and Daily Politics. CNN, CNBC,SKY NEWS). Since 2011 she has been giving public and University lectures on Left populism, social movements and left parties and she has been contributing to OpenDemocracy, the Guardian, Red Pepper and other publications.
