Sam Nadel

Sam is a Research Fellow at the University of Bath and a PhD candidate at the London School of Economics. His teaching and research focusses on the dynamics of cooperation and governance within the realm of non-governmental organisations and social movements. He delivers regular lectures, covering development theory and practice, public attitudes to international aid and influencing for impact. Alongside this research, Sam has held a number of advocacy and campaigning roles at NGOs including Amnesty International and Oxfam, where was Head of Policy and Advocacy, responsible for overseeing advocacy strategy, policy development, and political risk management. Before starting in the third sector, Sam spent over a decade as a professional drummer and musician, recording and performing extensively in Europe, North America and Asia on tour and national TV/radio.
