Dr Andrew Chubb

Research Fellow

Andrew Chubb is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Global Affairs at Lancaster University, and a co-founder of the Tackling Transnational Repression in the UK Working Group. A graduate of the University of Western Australia, his research examines the linkages between Chinese domestic politics and international relations. Andrew is also a Fellow of the Center for China Analysis at the Asia Society Policy Institute, where he analyses global views of China among citizens and foreign policy elites. He is the author of “Transnational Human Rights Violations: Addressing the the Evolution of Globalized Repression,” (Journal of Human Rights Practice, with Kirsten Roberts Lyer), the PRC Overseas Political Activities: Risk, Reaction and the Case of Australia (RUSI Whitehall Papers), and Rights Protection: How the UK Should Respond to the PRC’s Overseas Influence (Lau China institute).
