David is Chief Executive of global health charity Kids Operating Room. He is a Board member of the UK Fundraising Regulator and a member of the regulator's Standard's Committee. He is a member of the Scottish Government's Global Health Executive Committee and chair of their working group on foreign donations of medical equipment. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and recipient of an honorary doctorate for work improving healthcare services for children. David is married with two children and, when not at home, spends much of his life in Africa and Latin America delivering projects to improve access to safe surgery for children.
