Stephen Gethins is the MP for Arbroath & Broughty Ferry and a Professor of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. During his time in Parliament Stephen has twice been selected to sit on the Foreign Affairs Select Committee. Stephen has made regular appearances in UK and international broadcast media as well as writing for print media. He has also written about Scotland’s Foreign Policy footprint and raised the issue in the House of Commons. Before entering Parliament Stephen worked in democratisation and peace-building in the western Balkans and South Caucasus. He was also a Special Adviser to Scotland’s First Minister on EU and International Affairs as well as Energy and Climate Change.
