100 Days of Trump 2.0: Expert Q&A
Since his inauguration on 20 January 2025, President Trump has moved much more aggressively to transform policy than in his first term, both at home and abroad. Sweeping changes, including the dismantling of USAID, drastic shifts in US policy toward Ukraine, the threatened annexation of Greenland and Canada, and escalating tariffs have had global reverberations. At home, Trump has mounted an unprecedented challenge to constitutional checks on his power. Governments around the world are now calculating the best ways to respond to the unpredictable and unconstrained approach of the White House.
In the week marking 100 days since Trump’s inauguration, The Foreign Policy Centre in partnership with Leiden University will host an ‘expert Q&A’, with Dr Andrew Gawthorpe, Dr Courtney Radsch and Prashant Rao, chaired by Alice Copland. As the domestic and international ramifications of decisions and actions taken by the Trump Administration unfold, this webinar is an opportunity to take stock of the first 100 days of President Trump’s term, discuss prospects for the future and, crucially, how the international community will respond.
